Mission: The Green Campus Action Plan aims to provide undergraduate students with the financial resources to pursue sustainability-based projects on the University of California, Riverside campus. By taking ownership of our impact on the planet and our community, we - as students - can begin to tackle climate and sustainability issues at a college level and apply those lessons throughout our future careers. And by learning from Indigenous climate scholars who write about time as kinship, we also spread the message that climate solutions do not come at the expense of people’s livelihoods and environmental injustice. The environment and its people are interwoven.
Information: The GCAP Green Grant supplies student organizations with up to $4,000 in funding for environmental conservation/sustainability projects. However, applicants are welcome to request more funds, and the GCAP Committee will assess whether a budget of more than $4,000 can be provided.
We encourage undergraduate student clubs and organizations from all majors, backgrounds, and career goals to engage in sustainability initiatives and education within their own spheres of influence, and to apply for the GCAP Green Grant in helping them achieve their sustainability goals and initiatives.
